          This lively Female duo received warm reviews wherever they played.  Lynn Swain teamed with Linda Watkins - a force to be reckoned with!

Their blend of musical talent and enormous sense of fun resulted in the creation of this unique and entertaining duo.  Their  repertoire of considerable proportion encompassed traditional folk, modern day covers and Linda’s truly original material.

 Add to this a collection of instruments ranging from flute and guitar through to whistle, bodhran, mandola and mandolin – with a dash of Appallachian flatfooting from Lynn and you had a recipe for success. Events where the girls have were captured doing what they love best include:

  •  Several appearances during Stony Live week 2003/4/5 and also Folk on The Green Main Stage at Stony Stratford’s acclaimed music festival. 

  • Oxford  TV’s  6Life  programme, December 2003 and repeated 2004

  • Newport Pagnell's Festival by the river 2003

  • Miskin folk festival South Wales 2004

  • Buckingham's Music in the Market and Big Bash 2004

  • Northampton Folk in the Park festival 2005

  • Spratton Folk festival 2005

  • And a host of private functions, folk clubs etc

Life and many other musical projects later, sees Lynn playing regularly with ceilidh band Asha and Linda teamed with the lovely Godfrey Yeomans. Both ladies continue to enjoy great musical success wherever they play.

 

Maybe one day Elles Belles will revive.... who knows what is around the corner?
